Only if he looks like dinner. Meh....he probably doesn't taste like chicken.I have an idiot roommate, (53 year old midwestern male) who was going out to the backyard to use my bbq. When he saw my chickens playing across the yard in the bushes, he asked me if my girls were going to attack him. He followed up his question with the statement, "I will defend and protect myself as necessary". Very very very strange dude.
Tell him yes, definitely. I would tell him he should stay in the house at all times with the doors and windows closed to ward off attack!! I would, however, make it very clear that if he harms a feather on any of your chickens he will have you to contend with. And if he thinks tthe chickens are a threat, he ain't seen nothin' yet.I have an idiot roommate, (53 year old midwestern male) who was going out to the backyard to use my bbq. The chances of American poultry producers sending live chickens from here to China to be processed are slim and none. Take a minute to think of the logistics involved. Even if the processing was free, transportstion costs would eat up any profits. Now importing chicken products from birds that were raised and processed in China is another story. I don't buy processed chicen products.Well, if it is any consolation to the "Americanus normalus" who are purchasing those "vegetarian" chickens.......how many of those same poultry producers will be sending those birds to China for processing. (?) If the vegetarian fed poultry is a small enough operation, promoting themselves as "organic".... (Def not Tyson), then one would think they would be feeding protein also. Real, creepy crawlie, with eyeballs.....protein! One shudders to think what Chinese processed poultry will be introducing into our already contaminated food system. Lead? Arsenic? Melamine? I am sure they have more in their arsenal.
Sorry....I must just be confused...![]()
I know the food chain is already contaminated by questionable feeding processes....i.e. feeding cattle the composted chicken manure...feeding cattle and chickens the leftovers ground up of their processing plants. Etc. It's not the marketing professionals who are stupid....no..they are laughing all the way to the bank. Just look at how many of our fellow consumers who have no idea of where their food comes from...let alone what happens to it to get to their tables.
I refuse to purchase store bought chicken anymore. We have just done without for a while now.
The contractor that said you were showing your age when you said you wanted a gas stove never knew any chefs or graduates froma culinary school. When my house was being built, I said that I wanted a gas stove, when they had planned on electric. The builder, the husband of a teacher I work with, said, "You're showing your age by wanting gas". I replied, "No. I'm just showing my level of expertise in the kitchen. Gas is to a cook, as stick shift is to a driver." That shut him up ... especially, since they eat out all the time b/c he doesn't like waiting for his wife to cook dinner. (No lie)
Both of my grown children (daughter *AND* son) are good cooks who eschew processed foods. My son, especially, loves the idea of self-sufficiency. Unfortunately, he did not have a father who could teach him how to wield a hammer, and doesn't really have the patience for such things. I'm hoping that, with time, he'll learn. My daughter doesn't have needlework skills (sewing, knitting, crocheting) like her mother, either. I really wonder what's going to happen to society in the future.
Yes..my point exactly!! Who in the world came up with this hair brained idea??!!!The chances of American poultry producers sending live chickens from here to China to be processed are slim and none.
