A nurse friend won't eat my eggs since she saw my chickens (very healthy birds free ranging)
Now she'll only eat eggs from battery hens.
I asked her if she wanted to see a picture of battery hens.
She said no.

I guess she wouldn't be able to eat eggs at all then.

I don't know, I think that the problem is that school teaches us some stuff that's relevant to our exams, but our parents are supposed to teach us stuff, and we're supposed to learn for ourselves and be intelligent enough to make inferences, and it seems that people come out of school with the bare minimum from their lessons, they only know what they've been taught. I used to watch a lot of wildlife documentaries, and I still come out with facts about different animals all the time, and people would say "Where do you get this stuff?" and I say "from TV" and they're gobsmacked, how can someone learn from TV? TV is all soap operas and dramas isn't it? Wrong. They make no effort to learn anything other than what they're taught.

I have a friend who asked why I waste my time reading so much. "I like to learn", I replied. "Well, at our age, we don't need to learn any more because we won't use it."

Huh? (At times like this I wish I were a cartoonist)

Per Forest Gump: Stupid is as stupid does! Just got done watching that movie with my Grandson. In spite of his low IQ, he was smarter than most of the people he met.

Love the movie "Forrest Gump"....something fresh comes up in it every time. What is interesting, though, is that the character in the book is really debauched and not the guileless innocent that Tom Hanks portrays. Guess they cleaned it up for the masses.

I'm not sure if that "how's it going" was intended for me, but unfortunately things arent going well. we are being harassed terribly by our local government. It's even becoming a criminal lawsuit against a government official, which is why I had to change my user name...

I think it will be much more difficult to identify me now that my user name is not my real name... When I first signed up here, it was right after we got chickens. I never imagined the chickens would cause so much harassment from our locals! It's only one neighbor that is making a fuss, but he is making life difficult to say the least!
