Dumbest Things People Have Said About Your Chickens/Eggs/Meat

I often say... this would be a good place to take a nap. However, I've never said that when in the chicken run!

this reminded me of an incident i had a few months back. i have a habit of sleep walking and have done some pretty crazy things like going outside and measureing snow drifts (don't ask it just happened my parents got it on video) and walking out to my truck and going to sleep but what takes the cake was when i got fully dressed, socks, shoes everything and went outside opened the gate to the goat pasture walked through it went into the chicken house and sat down. imagine how it feels to wake up at six in the morning with a rooster roosting over your head crowing and a baby goat sleeping beside you with its head on your lap and you know for sure that you had been in bed when you went to sleep and for that matter INSIDE

One time I was going to buy some Welsummer eggs from my neighbor to incubate and they told me they had a dozen eggs for 45 dollars. So I asked if I could look at their birds before buying. When I looked in her coop I noticed that there was no rooster and I asked where it was they replied, '' We don't have one, they are to mean. '' I told her I need eggs for hatching not eating and she said, I know you can still incubate them though. I told her I did not what them because they would not be fertile and she said let me go get some eggs for you to try to incubate and if they don't hatch I will give you your money back. When she returned I looked and held the eggs and they were really cold I asked where did these come from she said '' The fridge " at that point I just turned around and walked off.

roosters are important! 3 of these are fridge eggs the ones to the right-and bantams- the other one is a regular sized chicken.

Like many other posters have said before, you can't cure stupid.

If you keep chickens, it should be common sense that in order for the egg to be fertile, you should have a roo.
