lol's yeah i love it i never did understand why it's so hard for people to understand that i want to "know" my meat personallybut i don't mind giving my meat birds nicknames they are just as much my babys as any layer i may have even though they will be in the oven soon just because they will be my food doesn't mean i shouldn't care for and love them any less.![]()
I have to say that I'm still somewhat of a hypocrite when it comes to this issue.

I can't yet get to the point where I'm comfortable butchering my own meat, but I do buy from local sources where I have seen the environment that the chickens live in.
I'm trying to work my way to the point where I can be comfortable raising my own meat. It's a process and I admire those of you who can do it. You give your chickens a good life and honor them. I buy all of my meat from local sources now, and do want to be self sustaining at some point. I know there's nothing wrong with it and feel dumb for being such a coward.
