New one from today:

New Neighbor: Oh, you better watch out for the Turkey Buzzards, they'll snatch those chickens right up.
Me: Oh, wait, are Turkey Buzzards the ones that eat dead things?
NN: Yep, you better watch out for them....
Me: Oh yeah, it's a good thing all of my chickens are alive then!
NN: *blank stare*

Remember Y2K? Exactly.

Just remember everyone that on 12/20/12 when the world as we know it (all digital) comes to an end, we will be Kings/Queens because we have the food in our back yards and know how to get it.

My hubby is a firm believer that we will suffer a major solar flare and all digital/electronic items will be fried and of no use. So all those that live and breath by electronics will be lost.
Even if nothing happens in December just remember our computers are not Y3K compliant

I haven't posted very much on this thread because I live in a very rural area and a lot of people have chickens. I'm not exposed to the citiots but I have been following this thread from the beginning. After reading the last few pages I am highly impressed with all you young adults and you show more maturity than some people my age. Continue to be yourselves and be true to yourself. Don't do things because your piers think it's "cool" for that can and probably will change tomorrow. A big

to all of you.

He lays invisible ones. I've been looking for them for SO long! No, but I think they lay white eggs, I could be wrong, I've never had any hens.

Camo chickens! Cool! I heard the government was working on finding a new way to feed our starving soldiers without having to ship tons of food over seas.

My husband used to work at our local feed store. One day a lady came in looking for a silkie and my hubby said " I have a silkie rooster you can have" and she says " oh! Is it laying yet?" her kids that were with her even face palm'd at her lol

I recall a few years ago I was at a Livestock/public thing... and some kid pointed to my Jersey Giant and said "Is that a turkey!?"

Oh how hard it is was not to laugh.
