Dumped baby chicks

Another chick was dumped today - this time at the high school that my nephew goes to. He brought the little one to me. I was being good this year & not adding to my flock but I guess the forces of nature are against me lol. I went to the local feed store & got the new little chick a couple friends, food & got them all set up with a heat lamp. The lady at the feed store said this is happening a lot due to the fact that pretty much anyone with money can walk into the feed store & buy chicks, that means young kids too. So happy ending for this little one but others are not found in time or get eaten by dogs, cats, or just get too cold.
The little black & yellow ( poss wyandotte ?? ) is the rescue & the buff orph & bar rock were purchased.
