Dumped cats and kittens! What to do?!

Well, if the previous owners had gone to a free or seriously reduced spay/neuter clinic then they wouldn't have had to dump those poor kitties to begin with or even remotely think about the possibilities of trying to find homes for those poor babies (since the possibility of babies wouldn't have existed had they spayed/neutered in the first place)!

I agree, but people like that just don't care. I would never think of not spaying and neutering my dogs and cats. The people I have talked to that let their animals reproduce at will either a) do not value their animals b) say "oh, my pet won't get out" c) think the world can hold just one more litter, or appear ignorant of the overpopulation issue d) they believe some stupid myth about it making their pet happy e)$$$$$ f) I love my pet, I want more just like her. All such dumb reasons, yet I hear them almost every day. And there's more too!

And guess who suffers. The innocent animals.

There is also the possibility that the person's neighbor got sick of all the cats and just dumped them off too, or something like that. Still the owner's fault though, and just plain mean and unacceptable.

That's cool! This is my first year doing FFA, yesterday was actually the first meeting I was able to make it to ( my cross country race ran late, so I missed the first one). I am looking forward to many more years of FFA, it seems like a really great thing!

So sorry to hear about your troubles. Our farm is a dumping ground for unwanted animasl as well. I always try and spay/neuter them and send them off to good homes but it doesn't always work. And when I gave them to the humane society and such places before, it shows up like "I" abondoned the animal and I am a bad owner

We once had somebody dump a pitbull female before christmas in our yard. The poor thing was freezing. I can't have dogs so I found her a good home, but come on, it was -10 degrees and the poor dog had a short coat. It loved me to death and I liked her too, just didn't have the time for her. She now lives in Colorado.

I think we are all a dumping ground, I now have 4 more kitty's mom was preg. Will keep all with s/n after weaned. Went trail riding last year, came back to trailhead to find horses tied to trailer. Had no choice took to animal control, had to disinfect trailer then go back and pick up mine. Left friend with my horses they would not fit on the trailer. Made for a long day.

Friend in Tennessee went out to feed, called the horses up and 6 more came with them. Yes 6. Someone cut the fence and dumped them in his pasture, (BUT they did fix the fence) wasn't' that nice of them to fix the fence.
