Dumped dog--I hate people!!!!

Oh, Em, you're breaking my heart! I know that horrible stuff happens all the time, but it just never ceases to stun me when I hear about it.
I have to leave for work now, so can't watch out for the poor guy. I may stop at the neighbor's and tell him what's up while I drop off a dozen eggs. He's always been so nice and helped me with my mower many times, so I try to give them eggs when I can. Have a good evening, all.

i know how you feel. some stupid uncaring, cold, ( i could go on 4ever but i wont lol) person dumped a teeny tiny puppy during a snowstorm on the dirt road by my house. we took the puppy in and found out that he is a pit bull doberman mix. he is still with us today and one of the sweetest dogs ever! his name is jack and his bff is a german shepherd named holly!

I know this thread is about animals....but we as humans are animals also....

I really amuses me that people take such offense at leaving a poor helpless 'fill in the blank' out in the cold, straving them, not getting them medical care etc., but when it comes to a fellow human being, we are so quick to judge. We have no problems telling each other about the poor slob down the street who collects welfare and doesn't have a job, and that this should be stopped. We all say this without intimate knowledge of each individuals story.

Why do we not have the same compasion for our fellow humans as we do for animals?

Right on!! I think if we ALL cared about people first like some do animals.........well, the animal part would kinda fall in line. Compasion is compasion.

People make choices that control their lives, domestic animals do not.

That is not a reason for the lack of compasion I see.
Babies do not make the choices that unfold to their childhood....where is the comasion for the innocent who have no choice?

I saw my stray again as I left for work yesterday, on my property, in the woods between my house and the neighbor's. I told them what was going on, as well as my friend up the road. I got out of the car and called to him, but my dogs were barking their heads off again and the stray took off. Sigh. Left more water out and will put out food if I see him again. I feel really bad for him but there isn't a whole lot more I can do. If he wants help, he's gotta at least come to me
