My birds with a single copy are considerably darker. If you look at the first photo of khaki's here: http://www.aviculture-europe.nl/nummers/09E05A12.pdf, it shows birds that are about the shade/tint of colour as my guy. My chocolates are a similar shade to the ones in the first & third photos. I do have some birds that are lighter and some darker among both colours.

Here are some other khaki (I^D/I^D)photos I have uploaded:

This little guy is chocolate (I^D/i+):

His adult plumage is much darker.

Chris, Sonoran, and Henk posted pics and/or links of what the color looks like. Look at Sonorans pics and click on the links posted by Chris and Henk.

All the birds posted on here are dun, it comes from a funky grey color to dark chocolate, chocolate itself is a totally different color. It looks the same but is a sex linked color that will not produce the khaki phase, and for the most part, nonexistant in the U.S. Afew say they have seramas in chocolate, but I often wonder, due to how seramas breed (not being true to a color) Just how exactly they know 100% for sure that it is chocolate. Most all chocolate birds are still in Europe.

The above pics posted are of duns/khakis too
heres some of mine in quail colored d'anvers
