yeah saw dawgs post...just wonder how an AB could be a wormer.....but the hencam post makes me think they call it a wormer when actually it might not be, just a sneaky way to administer AB's for other things...I dunno I just don't give them anything. Have never seen worms when slaughtering or necropsying.

Ya'll seem to have given up on this. I did a bit of research before buying it today. It has Montmorillonite Clay in it, which is a form of bentonite clay-which is contraindicated w/use of amprolium. Anti-bacterial,antifungal,etc. It also has diatomaceous earth in it, which I've read many use as an alternative antiparasitic. Not ringing my own bell,still searching for solutions, but it only reinforces what I learn if I share it w/others.

There is nothing in the ingredients that will prevent nor treat internal parasites. The original Durvet Strike lll contained Hygromycin B which treated internal parasites but was pulled off shelves due to FDA regulations.

I used it (striker w/o antibiotics ) when my girls started doing the gagging thing, I did my research and this is what I was most comfortable doing for us, after a week of sprinkling it on their feed at night no one in the yard was gagging any longer, also don’t have poop on my eggs anymore.

I have looked into it a bit and I believe it is/was the diatomaceous earth, it kills the parasites from my research.

Point of my story is it may not have anabiotic’s in it any longer, but it did what I needed it to do.

In sort I agree with @Sydney65 it worked for us.

Does anyone know if giving small amounts to 5 week old ducklings and goslings would be helpful for the DE since they're doing supervised outside trips to forage? Someone at TS told me it was good for deworming when I was in a panic buy all the things phase pre live babies. Since we paid $18 for it, was hoping it might be useful. Thanks!
