My aunt wanted to know if it is possible to use an old bag of flour?


I didn't have an answer...so I'm asking you guys.?

There are many possibilities, but flour wouldn't be one of them.....

You'll find alot of suggestions on BYC.

Our "chicken bath-mix" consists of sifted dirt, diatomaceus earth (food grade), and some sand. Mostly dirt, though. The DE helps prevent mites and such.....

I have been doing the sand, DE dust bathes. However I had never been asked about flour before....

My 3 girls found some nice soft fine dirt in the garden up under the eaves of the house, the rain doesn't get at it so it stays pretty fluffy. I add the DE to the dirt. If I just leave a little sprinkling on top they are rather suspicious. (I discovered they don't much care for 'white' stuff) I mix it in and I add to it about once a week. I just take a handful and ruffle it around in their chosen bath sites.
