Can Someone please help me...

What will the offspring be if i cross a blue dutch with a gold dutch?
and blue with a silver?

I have hatched out of blueXgold and the chicks seem to be coming out a "pure" colour, Can that happen??

Thanks in advance!

Check out the guy on the left, is he mainly dutch? He has yellow partridge markings and is a lovely bird, but his ear lobes are only partially white in comparison to breed standards. Also no idea how old he is, probably hatched last year.

Better pic here, with his welsummer and oeg x hen

NO!

Hatcheries do not have good Dutch at all. You must buy from a breeder. See this list to find a breeder of purebred Dutch:

I just got started looking in to Dutch, and so far I'm quite enamored of the breed. I've been trying to find more information, but when I try to go to the above link, it doesn't work. I'd really like to learn more about these chickens, they look gorgeous.

I am looking for some Dutch hatching eggs in the spring if anyone will have any available? I am trying to build my flock. I have a small flock now of 7 hens and 2 roosters. I have a mix match of colors in BLB, LB, Cream, splash, and white. They are 6 months old. I was lucky enough to get a good start with some great birds from a fellow byc'r last spring. I would really like to find nonhatchery stock of millie, silver, or blue if possible. I have fallen in love with this breed and really want to preserve it. I want to have diverse bloodlines. Anyone have any suggestions where to look? Anyone interested in doing an egg swap in the spring?

Pathfinders or anyone else who shows/has shown Dutch: How young is too young to show a pullet/cockeral? It's more obvious to me when my Polish are mature & filled out enough. I have some young Dutch from a late hatch this spring that I'd love to take to the shows this fall, but I'm afraid they won't be mature enough. I know every bird can be different, but does anyone have an approximate age when I could expect these guys to be old enough to come to the shows?
