Congrats on getting your Dutch; they're a terrific breed to have, especially if you live in town (like me). Now, as Crunchie said, "...now you need to post pictures!"

lost smokey to hawk today, she was defending the rest of the flock when she was caught, the hawk grabbed her right through the run and could only get her head.

That is sad news about Smokey.

Possibly dutch X something but not purely Dutch... dutch bantams should have slate colored legs. Now that would by according to APA standard, beyond that I don't know.

If they don't have slate legs they aren't dutch bantams...If you manage to get them entered as Dutch they would surely be DQ'ed by the judge because They Are Not Dutch Bantams, by definition. They look like nice birds, just look to me like a dutch X, possibly OEGB x dutch...

again...possibly an OEBG X possibly a leghorn X...with the whitish tint on the rooster's ear lobe he isn't purely OEBG either. The rooster carries himself like a typical dutch or leghorn bantam, not so much like an OEGB...Where did you get the pair? Unless they came from a reputable breeder, you really cannot expect to get Show Quality Purebred birds...especially if you bought them from "your neighbor down the road". My bet he/they are a bantam leghorn cross, yellow legs, whitish ear lobes, fine body style...just a guess
