Dutch Bantams Breed Thread

Yes I think I might get a pekin to hatch the Dutch eggs
Do all the pekin strains have the same traits?
And how many Dutch eggs can they sit
Thanks

I am looking for a Dutch Bantam breeder with show quality birds in Iowa, Illinois, Wisconsin, Minnesota, or Missouri or ANYWHERE that would ship. I want to get into Dutch and am looking for show quality birds to breed and show. Thanks!

Was wondering if my little guy is a Dutch or not?

He has dark leg coloring, white earlobes, single comb. (Although first pic he list some of his comb to frostbite). Was just wondering if he was Dutch or not. Was told by several he's OEGB, but when I look that up he looks nothing like one. The combs are totally different and all the OEGB's I see don't have dark legs.

OEGB's combs are dubbed before show, thats why. It depends on the variety of OEGB if they have dark legs, my blurs do. I can tell you this isn't a Dutch

He may have some Dutch in him, but he is not a pure Dutch. He could be what hatcheries sell as Dutch, which are OEGB/Dutch crosses.

Thanks for the help, was just always caught between the two breeds for which one he is. I bought him at a local feed store, and I believe they ordered through Ideal Poultry. Must be a mix between the two breeds. Thanks!

No offense to Ideal but their birds don't fit standard so that is probably why

Just now saw your post. Do you still have rooster and where do you live. I am in Ohio. If you do not still have him, will you have others later? Tom
