Dutch Bantams or OEGB?

i prefer Oegbs...all i've came in contact with were gentle as can be, and i know friends with about 50-60 of them that are all gentle....wether they're mean/nasty depends on their bloodlines, And how they were raised.. Same as if their wild

Personally I think It's all how a bird is raised. Usually if left with the hen, they grow uo to be flighty, but if raised on their own, I have found them to be tame. Hope this helps.

I had OEGs growing up and they were all tame. I only have one Brown Red OEG hen who I caught in the wild (living in an office park roosting in the trees & difficult to catch). I have no idea how old she is but I have had her more than two years. She was extremely flighty at first but now even she is very tame. She flies to me, will sit on my hand and will almost land on my shoulder. She can fly like a quail, and she is an excellent broody and mother:

He is just a hatchery Dutch PQ plus his front of his comb was bit off by Raoul(BR) I think when he was younger. He is the best little guy though.

I have a Dutch hen that I got as an adult. She might as well be feral. She would rather sleep in a tree and lay eggs under a bush. The only thing that makes her mine is that she eats my food.

I had a dutch hen that I bought that was also very flighty. I gave her to a friend, and now she is feral!! My friend got rid of all her chickens, and this one got away in the mix. She hasn't been able to catch her since.

I have both oegb and dutch. My dutch roos are more aggressive than my oegb are.

I think this is a perfect description of the old english.

I might add, OEGBs fly very well. They roost alot and they do really well free-range as well as caged.
