Dying gosling

The vet is going to take a stool sample to see if whatever is causing it is worms or something else parasitic.
What about Pear does he think he'll eventually die from this also? or maybe they will find out and be able to intervene and help him. Poor little one now with out his buddies. I'm so sorry

It sounds like a virus or bacterial infection to me. Have they been outside or otherwise exposed to wild birds or rodents at all? Any sneezing/coughing or discharge from eyes or nostrils? Diarrhea?

Sometimes Apple throws up a spit like substance. No contact with rodents or wild birds that I know of. This morning Pear's poop was very runny and almost black.

Apple has passed. My sister in law was nice and made me a clay print of her foot. Pear will be taken to the vet to see if we can find anything.

Oh I'm so sorry. You're doing everything you can but sometimes it can't save everyone. My heart goes out to you, I've been there. Good luck.

Thank you Eeyore! It looks like Pear will become an indoor/outdoor goose, and the original plan of taking him to a big pond on the farm when he's older has been slashed. The whole family loves him too much to let him go.

Any news yet from vet? how's Pear doing? Maybe you can look around soon and find him some friends.

Not heard from the vet yet. We are planning on trying to find a goose his age, possibly of the same breed or maybe a pilgrim goose, does anyone know of any?
