E-Bay Eggs On The Way!

Hey does anyone have any idea for a chick brooder to hold around 150 chicks

We have used wooden crates, sideways desks, plastic cabinets, and large cardboard boxes or just cardboard walls set up in a square. The cardboard is easiest to grow and shrink, and you can sit in with the chicks to tame them. The plastic is far easier to clean, however.

Please let us know how the wire drawer dividers from Dollar Tree end up working for you. I just hope you can keep the humidity where it needs to be if you can't get the bator to close all the way now.
Sorry I forgot to tell you I didn't like the wire draw dividers. It took too long to remove the chicks. I felt it was too small for the number of eggs I put in it. I'm going to stick with fewer eggs - that way I can do more hatches.

If you are planning on needing it often, a large stock tank works well, but they are not cheap. They come in rubber/plastic or metal versions.

Or, section off a corner of your garage, barn, or coop with some plywood or OSB. A 4'x8' sheet of OSB will run around $7. You can just cut it to size, or sometimes you can even get the place you purchase it from to cut it for you.

HI everyone! I'm new! I have a lot of Ebay eggs in my incubator right now: French Copper Marans, an Easter colored mix(many different breeders in blues, greens, and brown), and a lot of Cortunix Quail eggs! I also have some farm stand chicken eggs that I started with!

I've had a heck of a time keeping one of my incubators at the right temp recently. It keeps spiking to 101 or 103. Thankfully, I check on the temp often and it couldn't have been too high for more than 45min. But I still worry! My farm stand eggs are the oldest at 12 days and have a lot of moving chicken embryos inside! 39 of the 50 Cortunix Quail have nice veins forming and they are at day 6!

Anyone else still getting eggs from Ebay?!

What incubator is if? An LG? I have quail eggs too!!

Caleb, i just googled eggs-Dalton Georgia-Craigslist. Your in luck dude! I found eggs in Summerville for only $2.00 a dozen!Hope $2.00 isn't to much. Again, hope your poor Mama gets 100% better.

Great idea! I hope it works out for them. Better to do local anyway!

Oh no I had high temperature spike I think it killed all 9 of my chick's but I can sill see small veins but no movement what sold I do?

How high was the spike? I've had chicks at too high temperatures that all survived, though one didn't make it during hatching.
