Eagle Catches Deer!!

It doesn't look like a full-grown deer to me. Maybe a yearling? It also looks like the eagle is "trained" or something like that. You know...for falconry and such?

In the clip I saw the eagle, looks like a sub-adult Golden Eagle, is on the man's arm then goes after the deer. I agree that the deer is a small deer, not an adult.

An adult Golden Eagle has a wingspan of 80 to 88" and a length of 30 to 40". It is a big bird.

That eagle is on the man's arm in the beginning, it's clear to see if you look. I've never seen them used for such large prey. Interesting.

Falconry is such an interesting hobby. I've always wanted to get involved in the sport, but that is a dream I'll have to hold onto for later in life when I can save enough money

Still, it's so cool. I would love to try it someday.

I watched the clip of the eagle pulling the goat off the cliff late last night and had nightmares about it.

Very cunning bird.
