Early February 2016 Hatch - Who's In?

This time I let them sit for 24 hours before putting them in.  Next time I will let them sit out for 24 hours, and then maybe put in the bator and not turn for another day or so. What did you do for your current batch? 

I don't have a current bath, but have hatched hundreds of chicks. Just not shipped. I read it's best to set for 24 hours then once incubating not turn for 3 days. I just started a hatch a long if you'd like to join, I'll post a link there to a very helpful article about hatching shipped eggs :-D

Here is surprise cochin baby from "odd egg #4" who we woke up to (being kept company by the last fav baby to hatch) : Here are some random of of the other 14! 16 hatched out of 17 shipped eggs that made it to lockdown I am just floored. For those of you that are waiting still - I am thinking of you and just know that "odd egg" never showed any signs of rocking, chirping or even pipping!

16 hatched out of 17 shipped eggs that made it to lockdown I am just floored. For those of you that are waiting still - I am thinking of you and just know that "odd egg" never showed any signs of rocking, chirping or even pipping!

Oh my goodness, these are adorable!! Great hatch rate even on non shipped eggs!

I'm late joining in! I have some Ameraucanas and one backyard mix who've made it to lockdown. They're on day 19! My last hatch (first hatch) gave me early hatchers and shrink wrapped chicks so I've lowered this hatches temp and upped the lockdown humidity. We'll see how it goes!

My couple days have been a blur with all these babies. I think I counted 24 babies hatched 3 still in the incubator on day 21 until 3:30. I had one DIS during Zipping. =(.

On a brighter note, I talked to the gal I got some of the eggs from and she said there was a ayam cemani rooster in with them! That explains These babies.

I've just finished building a 2' tall 5'x5' pin for my upcoming babies.

my poor husband will have to share his computer room for a few weeks until they feather out. That gives me time to cull my current roosters and rewire my pin.... They used chicken mesh to line the dog kennel they had their birds in...( sorry just moved to new house and adopted birds here to add to my flock). Hate mesh... I have hardware cloth to fix it and I need to build a baby coop for my babies. Wish me luck.

3 week old Jonas named after the snow storm that knocked are power out for 3 days. He was one of the ones who made it with no heat lamp for a day and half till I got a generator. I'm pretty sure it's a Roo but I could be wrong. What do you experts think. Dad was a barred rock mom EE.

I seriously warn you, that brooder is going to emit a ton of dust unless you cover it somehow.
