Early February 2016 Hatch - Who's In?

I'm in. I just started my 2nd incubator today. My 1st is due on the 29th of January. This will be Feb 3rd hatch.

Blue Splash Marans - 1o from the Blue Water Ranch line
Black Copper Marans - 13 from the Bev Reynolds mixed with Wade Jeans line
Blue Marans
Blue Wheaten Marans
Blue Copper / Blue Splash mix.
First generation Olive Eggers from Easter Eggers Hens / Blue Splash Marans rooster

The 2 eggs with AV on them is a friends eggs. She had some of my birds from last spring and her rooster died. I got a couple of the eggs from the hen to put them in and see what she gets.

I'm going to see how many I can sell at the Poultry Show on Feb 6th in Norman Ok. I just hope I can tell what is what after they hatch.

You could use hatching baskets and then put leg bands on them.

I think my problem will be between Blue Splash and Blue Wheaten both are white chicks. Blue and Blue Copper may look the same. But all the Maran eggs are same color. If I had my flock separated where I could mark my eggs from which hen they came.

I'm in!!! Setting 4-6 mixed breed eggs tomorrow. Dry incubation worked great on my last hatch so trying it again this time.

Welcome! Doing dry hatch here as well. Now that the eggs are in - still trying to find the sweet spot with humidity - we're either in the 20s or the 40s it seems

Cochin eggs are resting. I ordered a dozen - 15 were sent - 4 were broken... so 11 will be set tomorrow morning.
One is odd shaped and I can't tell which is the large end so I put that in the notes.

When I get an egg like that I candle it and check wick side has the air cell then put the air cell end at the top.


Oh and I am getting Barred rock eggs and Quail eggs tomorrow and joining the hatch
