Early February 2016 Hatch - Who's In?

Am I sensing someone is getting more eggs???

Perhaps.... I am sensing a need for a "chicken" checking account so my DH doesn't know what I'm spending on poultry!!!

Well, I'm only on day 4 with my duck eggs, but my incubator's temp is fluctuating and the humidity keeps going down. I think our drafty house and running the heaters all day, might be causing issues. I wrapped the incubator in a towel to help insulate it. I really hope this works. I only have 6 eggs.

I put my 18 in this morning, then added the 6 more the girls laid this afternoon because I figured it wouldn't be too far off. I managed to sneak them in and only lose two degrees! Other than adding water my husband made me swear, Girl Scouts honor, not to fiddle with them until we candle at day ten (!! How am I supposed to wait that long?!) and I will do my best with that.
I can't believe how exciting this is!
Is anyone else hatching on Valentine's Day?

I'm not familiar with Eight Acres Farm. Are they well known or on BYC? I'm still learning about the hatching egg suppliers. I just ordered some Cochins off BYC and they will hopefully be here next week. I keep looking around for my future buys and would like to learn about new places.

They are well regarded for their BCM and she is almost ready to start selling Welbars, which are unheard of in the US. Check out their website...
