Is this early frostbite? If yes, what are we supposed to do to keep it from getting worse? Vaseline? We live in New England and have been using the deep litter method for the past two months. We have a well-ventilated coop and aerate the bedding every day. Any advice would be appreciated!!

Looks like dry skin too me.

I doubt that is frostbite. Be aware that applying vaseline or other creams can actually promote frostbite since ointments can freeze. Keeping chickens dry and out of direct drafts can help prevent frostbite. They should have overhead room and ventilation.
