Early guesses?

These are my 5 week old babies... does anyone want to make any early sex guesses?

1. Rhea

2. Blueberry

3. Phyllis

4. Betty

And...... go!

All roosters, no wait.... all pullets, no wait.....actually You will need to wait a bit. My wild guesses would be Rhea and Phyllis are boys, just because odds are 50/50. Both silkies and polish can take longer to tell the sexes than other breeds.

Too early for certainty. I think Rhea is probably a boy, but beyond that I don't know. 8 weeks is a good age to try again unless you see some obvious comb and wattle development.

even at 8 weeks it is still a guessing. You picked breeds that are extremely hard to sex, at early ages. Silkies - 4-5 mos. is a good age to try - even then sometimes you can't be positive till they crow or lay eggs.
