early labor and delivery

I had braxton hicks with my last one. My doctor decided to schedule me for an induction 2 weeks early (38 weeks) with him cos of his size.

When i got to the hospital for it, I was already having contractions, they weren't going anywhere so they started me on pitocin. 10 hours later I delivered a very healthy baby boy at 8 pounds 2 ounces ans 20.5 inches long.

Good thing they decided to let me go early!!

My other 2, I never had braxton hicks with....first one was 1 week late, second one was 1 week early.

It all depends on yer little one and when yer body is ready to go!

Yer little one will make an appearance soon, just be patient......I know that's hard cos I was ready to have mine long before 33 weeks, LOL!

just feeling the same today, some contractions, then it'll stop. i REALLY look forward to being able to bend over again without feeling like i have severe asthma.i know some people like being pregnant, but i am not in that group!!!!jessshhh!!! who could love having swollen ankle, hands, being constipated, sick and so fat santa would be jealous? i look forward to her, not the rest...

I had to go and have drugs to stop contractions sevral times between 27-32 weeks but then things calmed down a little , I still had contractions but they didnt do much so I was just takeing small doses of tributilene or whatever at home till 36 weeks then I went in to get my BP checked ( had been on bed rest for about 2 months) and it was WAY high so they put me in the hospital till I hit 37 weeks then they induced me . So Im not shure , all I can say is when in doubt ask youre Dr when it comes to contractions and stuff.

my doc says braxton hicks are perfectly normal and unless they escalate to real pain or start in a pattern not to worry. i suppose its just that this is my first and i am not use to being uncomfortable. i am grouchy when i don't feel good, and i am sure all you gals know what it's like to be very pregnant , work 40 hrs and still have to take care of things at home.

I never had a single BH contraction with either of mine. No contractions at all that I could feel until I was actually in labor. My oldest was born five days before his due date and was 8.9. My youngest was 3wks early and was 8.10. Boy was I glad he was early!

i had my babygirl at only 26weeks. youre obviously at that stage that if the baby comes, he/she will be fine. lots of luck wth everythign !!
