Early risers thread!

Any tips from the early risers here about how to fall asleep fast?

I heard it said that there is a technique for falling asleep in 2 minutes or less, but every '2 minute or less' person I know is already asleep 🙃
 
There's a breathing technique. Let me think. I believe it's: Inhale for a slow count of 5, hold for a slow count of 5, exhale for a slow count of 7. Repeat until you fall asleep. I'm usually gone before six repeats, ten at most.

I've never been an early riser because I usually cannot get to sleep before midnight. That's all changed in the last month or so, since I got this new dog, Jenny. She's a Golden retriever, 2 years old, has been in a kennel all her life as a breeder. She won't go outside without me. This means I have to get up at 5 am and go walk with her. Or 2 am or whenever she takes the notion. I usually go back to bed, but then I am up again at 6 am with DH, getting him off to work.

So I guess I'm a reluctant early riser. I'd really prefer to sleep in until 8 or 9 am.
