early signs of being a roo?

if you only have these two, you can keep them together. Apart from a bit of possible hormonal dominance ruckus when they are teens, roosters can live happily together so long as they are not competing for females.

ooooh okay! so should i make a separate spot for them? honestly i would feel really, really bad if i separated them. they seem to love each other so much ): i took this pic of them today when i let them play in the grass

ok that is SUPER CUTE, and at that age, chicks will somewhat start pecking order and I just saw your update on them right now and they look like cockerels to me. I had 2 roosters and they cuddled a night but once they got older they wouldn't stop fighting so I had to give one away but you never know so yours might not fight but its a 50/50.
edit: I've never seen such a cute picture of chicks i LOVE IT

(my second time writing this because i messed up the first time haha) i absolutely love them! very sweet lil babies. they get cuddles almost every night & they are nearly 5 weeks now. if i end up having to rehome one then i’ll 100% get the other some silkie friends, i’ve grown quite fond of the breed honestly

Is it normal for chicks to develop different comb shapes for a mix breed? One has a single comb and the other has a pea comb.
