Earthquake!

What a shame...

*Give me tornadoes any day!*

I am not joking. I will refrain from offering my opinion about that too.

Yea..I'll still take an EQ any day. I've been in a tornado warning (in the basement for hours, but it missed us) in Ohio and the largest quake I've been in was the Lander's Earthquake (7.2 M) in 1992 (I lived within 60 miles or so of the epicenter). And numerous 4's and 5's with a few 6's here and there. We're probably all comfortable with what we grew up around, but tornadoes and hurricanes scare the heebie-jeebies out of me!!

EQ...I'm ok with them!

I'm not fond of the damage and deaths, but the shaking itself....that's ok.

I'm with ya Shelby. The Landers quake broke alot of stuff in our house, but we were all ok... The Sylmar quake in 1971 did ALOT of damage and here I am!

A 3.1 at 2:09 PM today twenty miles SSW of Mexicali. It isn't over yet folks.

I've never been in an earthquake or tornado. I think I would rather be in an earthquake.

Seems to be moving Northward - watch out NW USA!!! I am sooo getting an emergency kit together pronto!!!!

My grandmother was visiting her brother about 20 miles from the Epicenter (Sp?) She said stuff went flying everywhere, and it felt like it lasted forever!

born and raised here, wouldn't trade eq's for tornados ever. DH took me to Chicago (where we were stationed for 3 years) and there were a few tornado warnings while we were there. I am firmly resolved to say here in god old earthquake country
