Earthquake

Felt it here on the Easternshore of Maryland. I was in DollarTree with my girls when the shelves started swaying and stuff started falling. People working at the store thought it was some kind of practical joke.

We felt it here too. All of a sudden my chair was moving, the monitor was shaking and I looked up and the walls and ceiling were moving. It was like a gentle roll. I ran outside and the office building across the street had hundreds of people piling out.

It was so weird. I've never felt an earthquake before.

Funny, I was posting a question over under "chicken behaviors.." when it hit.

Whoops, just saw they did have a 5.3 last night.... That's some shaking, but not really damaging.

We are "chickens" here in Colorado that's why we don't live in California. I didn't feel the one here which happened south west of where I live but I was sleeping so who knows.

I didn't feel anything here is SC, but, my daughter in WV said it felt like sitting on a washing machine !

My Mom in VA said the noise was the worst part, just a little shaking. My daughter in VA said she thought she was going crazy.

The guy at the feed store said he felt the vibrations while sitting on a stack of feed in bags.

Checked the hens right away. Seemed fine. Dogs were pretty worried tho and the fish tank sure was splashing!! Pretty wild!

we get mini "man made" quakes here all the time from the blasting they do at the limestone quarries... lol.. so if we had a "real" quake i wouldnt even notice
