Have you got them tested to know it came from there birds? Yours may have had it and showed symptoms because you brought new birds home stressing them out

No, I didnt have them tested but the breeder ended up telling me that the parents were carriers. I was planning on getting more chicks from her so she messaged me to tell me more had hatched. I told her that mine were sick except for the chicks but didn't want to chance it she said "oh, it's fine. The parents are carriers and it's not a big deal."

I didnt even think to test them because they were already integrated with the big ones before the big ones started showing symptoms. By day 2 all 10 of my older hens were sick so i figured they were definitely exposed even if they weren't carriers.

IMO, that is seriously dishonest to not disclose such a thing BEFORE you bought a single bird.

We hang ours upside down and then slit the jugular vein they are dead in a few minutes.

The best way is the way you're most confident with.

I use a cone and carotid/jugular slice for harvesting meat.
Broomstick for euthanization.

I wonder if she has had them tested, or is just guessing?
Might be good for you to send one for necrospy and labs.

She did have one from her flock tested after it died. Wasnt the parents of these but they were together in the same flock. I am going to send one in if we lose 1 but right now they are all doing much better. We treated with tylan and it worked.

Oh, DEFINITELY dishonest. I even told her that I had a current flock so she knew I could potentially lose birds to this disease. I've blasted her on every site she sells on. She sold hundreds of chicks that were infected. I also reported her for knowingly selling infected chicks.

it's the only CD video I've found that doesn't remove the head.

-Notice the slight divot in the ground under the stick and neck, this will keep the bird from being choked.

-Notice that she slowly stretches out the neck and legs before giving the short sharp jerk that breaks the neck close to the skull, this is key to success IMO.
