My 2nd year birds are middle to ending their molt. I just noticed a couple girls not looking quite as unfortunate as they were a week or more ago. If they are first year girls they probably wont molt this year. None of mine have ever gone through a molt the same year they were hatched. Maybe yours are too young?

I was thinking if they hadn't yet they wouldn't. I wouldn't think that mother nature would have them molt in winter?

Oh good, I was wondering about the molt thing too. One less thing to worry about. Now that some of the snow melted they're outside every day again. The cold doesn't seem to phase them much at all, as long as they can see the ground. Goofy birds.

Mine don't seem to like the cold. If the sun is out they will come out and sit in it, but unless they want some of the gravel they can find in the garage they don't come out in the cold.

Oh they're good looking birds! Happy New Year to everyone!
Too bad it couldn't have stayed nice out for a few more days! Trying to keep my girls warm andentertained in these temps is a a challenge.
