Easter Egger chick colors?

In my years of picking EE chicks, the following seems to be true (at least in my experience). The solid yellow ones turn out white or cream, the lighter colored cream/brown chipmunk ones turn partridge or shades of gold/red/brown, and the dark brown chipmunk ones turn black/white. Your experience may vary.. Good luck..it's like the "Forest Gump box of chocolates", "You never know what you're going to get". :)

Not silly at all EE's are becoming my favorite chickens though they are not a true breed they are popular and great birds http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Easter_Egger pretty much anything mixed with araucana or ameraucana is classified as EE so it leaves a lot of room to create as you please as heardy or colorful, large or small a chicken as you want you should get you a roo araucana or true ameraucana and create your own EE's ;)

I love my EE roo

Hey Everyone,

Just thought I'd give an update. Here's Miss Tiana (left) and Miss Sophia (right) at 14 weeks. Tiana has a nice beard on her while Sophia is plain as can be. Oh, and also introducing 3 new EE chicks! Meet (from left to right) Snow White, Chocolate, and Chipmunk. We got this trio from my daughter's classroom, the teacher wanted them for just a week for her kids but didn't know what to do with them when the week was up so I volunteered to take them. We will be keeping Snow White, but I just don't have room for anymore chickens so Chocolate and Chipmunk will have to get new homes in a few weeks. Chipmunk looks just like Tiana when she was that age (see my previous pictures in earlier posts), so I'm curious to see if she feathers out the same as Tiana. I'm gonna keep Chocolate and Chipmunk just until they feather out, so this will be a good experiment to see how similar they are when fully feathered.

Pretty girls jujub! My son is in his last month of pre-school and I was told by his teacher that two of the Kindergarten teachers hatch chicks in the classroom. At our conference last week she said "I'm not going to say I'm going to try to get him into their class, but..". So I have a feeling we may get some class chicks next spring, I wonder if I can influence breed choice...
