Easter Egger chick colors?

Pics
Thank you! I guess Sundae would of been a fitting name! He is sweet too! Honestly didn't think his white was going to stay. It's what makes me think his mother is my splash maran.

I think most of the fun with EEs is how, no matter what you expect you'll see when they feather out, they will surprise you.

This was Gladys, all fluffy yellow with two charcoal smudges, one on her head and one on her back:

This is Gladys now at almost 11 weeks:

And just for fun, this was Pearl:

And I made a blithering fool out of myself with that post! <sigh> I used the wrong baby picture of Gladys - that's actually Agatha - and spent too much time trying to figure out how to delete it! That being impossible, I decided to post a retraction!

THIS is what Gladys looked like as a chick, not the little fluffy yellow one I posted:

My brand new girl looks exactly like a chipmunk. Her tiny wing feathers are buff/gold with dark gray tips... is that any indication?

Clara, the shoulder hawk.. er chicken at six weeks

Scratching in the dirt same day

And yesterday after gobbling up a slug, hence the funny expression. She is so big but still growing and changing! Her chest feathers are getting lighter, a bit golden, not sure what's going to happen with her cheeks, they have light grey down left on them but they've never been puffy. Hard to believe she still has a lot of growing to do, she looks the most like a young hen, while everyone else is still an awkward teenager (mixed breed advantage). Love our hawk girl.
