Easter Egger club!

Here's my LF EE girl from Cackle... 5 1/2 months old and lays a blue egg. She is small, which is why I kept her rather than her sister. Then the next pictures are two of my three bantam EE chicks that are 3 weeks old.

Hey everyone!

Can the EE SEXING EXPERTS chime in on this girl/boy? I swear I heard it crow this morning! It is 10 weeks old.

I wouldnt be at all suprised if "it" did crow. The tail doesnt look super manly, but that head looks EXACTLY like an EE boy head. I'd bet cockerel.

Any thoughts on this one? Should be a girl but its really big. Don't want to sell it untill I know for sure.

Pullet

Well...as I'm standing there this morning looking at it...it raised its head up and in a very scratchy squeaky voice said "eeeerrrr eeerrr errr"! Then proceeded to peck the pullet standing next to it...:barnie. I guess it knew to keep its mouth shut yesterday when I was taking the other 5 to their new home!

Great...that's just great...come on Cockerel Gods...that's enough...go bless someone else with some of these boys! Out of 13 chicks my count now is 10 cockerels...3 pullets...:barnie:rolleyes::th:he...I'm definitely done with hatching eggs for a great long while! I have 9 - 4 week olds...4 of them are Marans (1splash, 2 black & 1 blue) I already know that 1 for sure is a cockerel (the blue one). The splash and one black still look like pullets and the other black is looking questionable. The others are 3 Easter Eggers and 2 Olive Eggers...I think one of the EE's is a cockerel...I'll get some pictures and post them tonight...sigh...thanks for letting me vent...:hit

Did I read his right.... TEN boys, and only THREE pullets?! :th
That's just crazy..... You've got a right to be upset. :hugs :th
But I must say, that one splash EE boy (the newly discovered one) is just STUNNING. NEVER seen another chicken like him. :love

O. M. G. @CABINHOLLOWNC !

Dang. Sorry to hear about all those boys. How much room you have left in your freezer?

I'm keeping 2 of the best boys I have crop up from my sexed-at-the-hatchery pullets. Going to try making Velcro rooster collars. If that doesn't work, freezer camp.
