Easter Egger club!

So my two EEs are decidedly larger at going-on-three-weeks than my Rhode Island Red and Barred Rock. Are they often quite large, or faster growing? I'd figured the BR as the biggest of the bunch and the EEs as the smallest. One is so much bigger than the others (and so given to obliviously stomping over everything in her path) that I'm considering naming her "Godzilla". LOL. I'll have to post some pics soon, they are really starting to get some feathers.

Ok I'm in love. Anyone had chicks that look like any of my three? What did they turn out like?

LOL... go for it, I have been watching monster films and decided the monster names would make funny chicken names too! Endless names if you add all of Toho Studios monsters, the Gameria serries, Ultra Man, Poki-mon and a fwe random other monsters for giggles.

One of mine looked like that as a chick. This is her now and one of my favorites! EE's colors change so much so there is really no way of telling what they might turn out to be. Now this year I had one dark brown like that and this is what he looks like now

Yes they can actually be quite huge.. I have one who's only about 3 oz lighter than Buff Orpington. She has also always loved to eat.

As far as the monster names... go for it! I have a silkie I'm thinking about renaming mothra. She reminds me of a huge moth when she flaps her wings frantically every time I pick her up.

Hello EE owners. I personally love my trio of EE chicks, and there doesn't seem to be many others who love them as much as I do. I think they are beautiful, loving little birds, and I wanted to meet a few others who adore them as much as I do.

I started this club so we can share stories and information about our Easter Eggers.

Well, I am really new to this, but I have 6 ameraucana pullets and I think they are adorable. I also have 6 golden comet pullets, but they are not the subject of this forum, so I will leave them out for now. One of the things I love about my ee girls is that since they all look different from each other we could name them. We have Latte, Sasha, Mocha, Dove, Copper and Ashleigh.

What do green legs mean???
Quoted from cottagegarden;
Most people have Easter Eggers because they are easier to come by than purebred Ameraucanas. Green legs is always an indication of an Easter Egger because purebred Ameraucanas have white skin not yellow and thier legs are slate. Easter Egger roosters are some of the most beautiful you will ever see because they can be so colorful, they can also be some of the nicest.
