Do green legs have any connection to egg color?

My FIL told me that if the earlobes are light like white or blue or green they have the light egg gene, and the rest would be brown tinted eggs. So far it has been accurate with my hens.

I would agree though that it is very difficult to know what color eggs you will get from any EE. I have some EE that do lay blue eggs. WL hens with Ameraucana roo. But since both their parents are white the hens look mostly like leghorns with shorter combs and tails. They all lay small blue eggs.

I have a few other EEs too, one lays a pale almost minty green color and the other one is more olive looking. They are such fun and friendly birds.

Leg door??? lol. I have 2 EE's both with pea combs, both lay green eggs... Sorry to be a Myth Buster... I am convinced that if you "buy" an EEer with a pea comb AND they said, no guaranteed, it will lay blue eggs, it won't lay blue eggs but if you are given one then you will get blue eggs.
I meant leg color, (i hate my autocorrect) when i said blue i meant blue or green however you see the color to be. some people say they're blue some say they're green it depends on the person. as long as they are not brown or white.

I can handle any egg color (I would like the blue or green, but we don't have any white egg layers so that would be welcome too!), I'm just super excited to see how our hen's personality develops. :)

There are exceptions to the ear lobe color but in general it is accurate. Barred Holland lay white eggs but have red lobes. Penne forgot how to spell it but brown eggs with white lobes . Cream Legbar have white lobes, single comb , yellow legs and lay blue eggs. Ameraucana red lobes, slate legs , pea comb and blue eggs. So short story is no connection on leg color or lobe color for blue eggs. There is a connection with pea comb but not iron clad .

My EE has a little mound just below her nostrils. I thought it was part of her comb but she keeps bumping it on things and making it bleed. I have cleaned and put some antiseptic on it but I guess I'm wondering if it should be there??

Aside from the blurry face, I'm fairly impressed with this cellphone pic I got of Olive this morning. She is our biggest (and, in my humble opinion, the prettiest) EE. Still too young to lay...my guess is 13wks (give or take a week?). She's getting bigger every day.

Leg door has nothing to do with egg color. Look for a pea comb if you want blue eggs.

Sadly not quite true. I have two EEs, one lays a blue egg, one a cream, both with pea combs and beards. If someone crossed an EE to a non-blue egg laying bird with a pea comb, you wouldn't know if you 'lost" the pea comb that usually sticks to the blue egg gene. Plus comb and egg color can diverge, so you get a pea comb with no blue, or blue egg with a straight comb. Genetics likes to make fools of humans, I tell ya.
