Easter Egger club!

Hi, I have tried to post before, but I don't think it worked. I'm new to BYC, and I don't have any EEs currently, but am planning to get some. do you think I could still possibly join your club?

In addition to Meyer and MyPetChicken, California Hatchery also sells true Ameraucanas (Blue) as well as Easter Eggers and identifies them separately.  Their Blue Ameraucana is listed at $27.99 each while the EEs are listed at $6.99 each.  I've never ordered from any hatchery directly so can't vouch for quality but California Hatchery is a hatchery that truthfully has Ameraucana listed separately from EEs and they offer as few as 3 chicks that can be ordered/shipped.

Cackle Hatchery just started carrying Black Ameraucanas that are reasonably priced, however, they are only offered as Straight Run.

They're using the Ameraucana breeder flock crossed with Welsummer and Marans (not sure the coloring) to create Olive Eggers. These are also sold as Straight Run.

The EEs from Cackle are top notch, though! Full muffs/beards, slate or blue legs, great color variety, good lay rate, blue/green eggs. They aren't Ameraucanas, but they aren't marketed as such either, so that's good!

It's wonderful seeing the big hatcheries moving in the right direction. Cackle has always been very honest in their marketing of Easter Eggers. And they got their Black Ams from a great source!

We almost lost one of ours to a prolapsed vent when she first started laying but with a little first aid she recovered and now has a house key.

What is up with this comb? I can't figure it out and I'm getting ready for breeding season. I'm aiming for pea combs but I have no idea what this comb is, if it has the pea gene or not. Anybody seen anything like this on their EE Roos?

That's the most amazing comb ever! It's like a pea...crown! And his cute little wattles! I don't know if he carries the blue egg gene but you should breed him just because of how adorable he is! Hee hee hee so cute!! :D

Thanks! :D
He's a real sweetheart. Very mellow, attentive boy. I'm pretty sure he's carrying the white shell gene. All his daddy's girls lay brown eggs. :(

The EE Roo! He is so cute! it really is like a pea-crown! and I LOVE his muff (or beard, whatever you wanna call it) I haven't seen many EEs that look like that, very cool!

New chick owner. Got this girl at 16 weeks. She's now appx. 6 months. She gave my my first egg around 22 weeks old....pretty greenish/blue one. Very happy and suprised with how she's laying in this cold ohio weather. 1 egg about every day n a half. So I loved having chicks so much my husband decided instead of a dozen roses he bought me a dozen pullets. Right b4 christmas....eeeekkkk!anyways love this EE Club....btw...that's what my girls is right??? The guy I got her from said she came from cackle hatchery and was an aruacana but from what I've read on here that most are not true breed & are EE...so I just assume that what she is!
