@junebuggena
Just to let you know how right you were here is Jade (very green tail feathers and on wing) my seven month old EE cock who you assured me when I worried would not be ugly ;)
The pictures are not good and mostly blow ups of distance shots because he is very camera shy.

Told you so!
He almost looks like a Salmon Faverolle with that deep red and silver. No such thing as an ugly Easter Egger. That's one of the reasons I like them so much.

I look forward to seeing next year's chicks. I am using him and a blue Ameruacana over my mixed flock. I have a blue Am. female and an EE female version (grey) of Jade.

I can't believe how many new layers there are in the flock right now, especially since the mornings have been in 20 degrees cooler than usual.

The two brown eggs are from an Australorpington that's only five months old. The two white eggs are from a white leghorn the same age. They are both laid their first egg on Friday. The olive egg on the lower right of the yellow carton is also from a first time layer. My sweet little pullet was so nervous. She ran back and forth, just pacing, for a whole hour. She was in and out of the nest box, pacing, clucking and just crazy acting. Finally, she squatted down right next to me and laid her perfect little egg in the dirt. The aqua one right above it is a sort of new egg layer... She's been laying eggs for about a week now.

Sorry about the long write-up. I'm so proud of my little baby chicks that grew up to be such productive little pullets.

Wow, I love your egg colors!! I have been hatching EE's for months now, I can not wait til they start to lay so I can see the colors every day! I have a Blue Am Roo over my flocks of Blue Orpingtons, Welsummers, Silver Laced Wyandottes, Gold Laced Wyandottes, Barred Rocks, and my White Leghorns. They are growing out so pretty. A few are almost getting old enough to possibly lay.
