Easter Egger club!

I'm so excited! I'll be setting up my chicks in the coop this evening (before sunset). That should give them enough daylight hours to check out their new digs before settling down for the night. Then tomorrow I will let them out in the run to have fun! I will probably have to physically put them back in the coop a few nights. But I'm sure they will catch on soon enough :)

Mine have been free ranging all day. They are so happy and singing about!!!

Oh, I started with three....that turned into thirteen. It's chicken math. You'll add lots to your trio :)

Someday I'll have more too. But I'll have to move to do it. Being inside the city limits, I'm only allowed five. I have four hatchery birds right now. I will be attending the fall poultry swap in my area this year. I'm hoping to pick one out to add to my girls. I figure this way I get to be choosy and pick one I absolutely love, instead of ending up with whatever I was sent from the hatchery. Don't get me wrong I love the girls I got. But...oh we'll I'm sure you know what I mean :)

It is always fun to pick them out too :)

My EE pullet is as mean as a rattlesnake. It's like she's a game hen. She's the smallest one I have at 16 weeks. My three 14 week olds are as big or bigger than her but she shows no mercy if in striking distance. What can I do to chill her out. If I wanted aggressive birds, I'd have gamefowl.
