Easter Egger club!

Thanks. I did some searching. I forgot the to mention the foul smell in the wet butt. Looks like it might be vent Gleet. So I am getting my dog crate cleaned up and ready for her. Then I plan in bathing her and keeping her in the house for a few days (or until better). My problem at this point is finding the proper OTC meds for her cause I am NOT paying $76 to the only vet untown that treats chickens

Of course none of this has anything to do with the other ones crop...
Just an update: Rizo is doing great!

She spent 4 days in the dog crate in the house. When I brought her in and bathed her (it was surprisingly easy to bathe a chicken!) I pulled what resembled a cats hairball out of her vent. I was made up of mostly straw

After that she started doing better. I put her on a diet of yogurt, and grit, while still offering her some feed. I waited til her poop looked "normal" before putting her back out with the girls.

After talking to several experienced chicken owners, I learned that this was all possibly my fault

I've been so busy lately. I haven't had time to run up to the market that gives me free produce... So the girls have been eating the straw in the run. Apparently Rizo just ate a little to much and couldn't process it. My bad... I will be doing better with that. I don't want to go through this again.
She hasn't laid in almost 2wks. This morning I was happy to find her on the nest
