Easter Egger club!

Wow,EE's sure are mysterious! I don't know about laying 3 eggs a day, but they seem to spontaneously multiply! I picked up 4 babies Monday and somehow there were 2 more in the brooder last night! How could that possibly have happened? ;-)

I know how that is. It's so strange isn't it?

I just have one EE laying right now and the strangest thing happened this week. Sunday my husband and I both picked up eggs at different times so surely we both did not over look any. Monday I got 3 blue/green eggs. I have had a leghorn lay twice in one day but she did not lay the day before. I've never gotten 3 in one day from 1 pullet before. Has anyone else had this happen?

I THINK MY RSL IS STEALING EGGS AND HIDING THEM! I just saw her pick one up and she is the only one I've had to go broody. What a sneak!

I have never had a broody, I have always wondered how the pickup or move eggs? Would love to hear how they do it.

They get them under their wing and carry them somehow, That's What mine that steal eggs did.

Yep, mine tucks eggs under her wing and carries them back to the nest that way. It doesn't happen very often, but it seems to be an effective mode of transport.
