I hope so!! I’m new to raising chickens. Mine are a little over 2 weeks old. I lost my favorite one during the first week. She was solid grey when I got her and was changing colors before I lost her.
I’m sorry. It always sucks losing one, no matter how long you e been doing it!

We hatched out a few eggs in my Ag class at school, and we got two EE/welsummer mixes. :yesss: I named them Patricia and Chipotle.

Patricia is in the back giving me one of her insane looks, Chipotle is in the front.

Beautiful! The feathers look like basketweave!

That's a cockerel, right?
I hope not!

She is 16 weeks. The one Cockerel that I did get with the bunch had feet twice the size of hers and started crowing and holding himself more upright than her a few weeks ago. (Then I had to re-home him)
So by comparison I think she is a pullet but I know I've heard stories of those sneaky roos too.

Just got 5 EE's...So cool and exciting to see what their colors/markings look like coming in as their true feathers come. How would I introduce them to my "pack" that I already have In the coop/run? I don't want them pecked to death, and I do have a "pecker head" lol
