Besides, it helps a lot when you're trying to remember what the various female chicks looked like at certain stages so you know whether to be concerned. My whoops cockerel was white-ish, too.

I think pure white is unusual for an EE but white-ish like I have (have had) isn't. This would be due to the selection required to yield consistently white birds while EE coloring is mostly left to chance at a hatchery.
