My fuzzy-faced “easter egger” Just laid her first egg - and it was brown! I could’ve sworn she was hatched from a blue egg. Does this happen sometimes with mixes? Glad that she’s laying eggs, just wondering about the color.

Easter eggers can lay any colored egg, even if they are EE x EE. It just means both her parents carry the recessive genes for a white egg shell (brown comes from a colored pigment on top of the white shell), and she inherited those genes.
