I was reading this forum last night and saw that someone had that most chickens sold as "Amaeraucana" are actually easter eggers. My baby Peony is about a week old now. I know it's hard to tell but she has puffy cheeks but I can't tell is she has a "beard" or not. What do you think?

If you got her from a feed store or hatchery she is probably an EE. That being said I love my EE as they come in all different colors and lay different shade and colors of eggs. You never know what your going to get.

Looking at your picture I see fluffy cheeks, maybe a beard just may not be as fluffy as others.

I love her either way. She's an absolute doll that loves snuggles. Out of all of the chicks I have she's my favorite.

I did indeed get her from a small feed store in the closest town to me.

Also sorry if this is a stupid question, but will she end up being any color? I noticed all of the ones in the store were all the same color. So I didn't know if when they molt their down if any feather color would come in?
