Okay, I think I have most of my 9-week-old chicks figured out, and up until recently I was fairly confident I had four boys and four girls. But Cookie here has me wondering. Her comb is larger and redder than her 'sisters' - but I wound up with kind of a mixed bag of chicks, and it's possible she's just a bit older or just a different mix of breeds, since she's different in a few other ways, too, and she's a bit larger than the obvious girls. She also has some shiny tail feathers that are looking awfully greenish, and that has me raising an eyebrow to her as well.
But she's very feminine looking over all, to me at least. She has such lovely eyes and doesn't have that vulturish look that my boys seem to have. Any thoughts? Here are some pictures:
Does this headgear seem too pink for a 9-10 week old pullet?

Girlish colour pattern? Or are those manly red patches starting on her wings?

Greenish tail feathers (they look much greener in the sun, but the sun rarely exists in Ontario this summer, so I wasn't able to get a good picture of them today.)

Thanks!
