In the Brooder
Ugh, somehow Bun Bun and Monkey the Easter egger hens that we've had since hatch (hence the Easter inspired name) turned out to be a males. They are easy to handle as my 2 kids pick all of our chickens up and even posed with them for Christmas cards. They hasn't started to crow yet but are quite obviously roosters, in size and feather.
Bunny is by far, one of the most beautiful roosters I have ever seen. His coloring is off the charts and his feathers are gorgeous. Bun is sweet and social, and loves meal worms and grapes. He will jump up and gently take treats from your hands.
Monkey is a bit smaller, just as sweet, and his iridescent feathering is just starting to come in. He is mostly gray black with a brown saddle. He is much more timid and prefers to hang with the hens and act silly. Monkey will also jump up and gently take treats from your hand.
We are near Fort Collins, Greeley, Loveland, Milliken and are willing to meet to make sure either or both get to a good home. If we didn't live within the city limits, we would keep them both - but I know its just a matter of days before they start to crow.
If you are looking to breed Easter Eggers - these two boys are exceptionally feathered and will make good breeding stock.
