Easter Egger Sexing "tips and tricks" *Pictures Included*

Yeah, this one is tricky. He/she is a lavender ameraucana so the feathers are difficult to sex too, they are all wispy and the tail is short and super wispy. The legs are a bit thicker but not as thick as the OE cockerels legs. I really hope its a pullet. All the other Lavender eggs hatched black and this is the last batch of chicks I'm raising this year. I was being patient and didn't plan on even trying to sex this one until at least 10 weeks, but with the fight happening...I'm feeling impatient and worried it is a cockerel.

My pullets get into little fights and they'll get the same knid of wounds on their beaks,.

Now I am wondering about my black and white EE as most people are saying they are most often Roos :) Mine is my largest at 5 weeks, so I think she's a she. Yes?

Looks a lot like one of my EEs that I am pretty sure is a boy. He is 6 weeks in the first picture and 8 weeks in the second picture. Starting to get a really pretty green sheen in the black tail feathers, and a very handsome beard! Also is the stockiest of the bunch.

Mine looked like yours. Watch this week. Just week 4-5 "he" started to get really pink in his comb...
I didn't know about the black and white mostly being roos until readying this post.
Another thing they say is a roo sigh is the inconsistent feathering patterns... which yours and mine might have...
