ok thanks. just so nervous it's a roo. really need these two to stay together. only two that made the hatch, and their momma died over the weekend. would hate to split them, but I can't have a rooster in my town.

IMO, looks like a roo to me. His pea comb looks like it has the 3 rows typical of a male.

I am confused about the pea comb, I am new to chickens and it seems i don't understand the difference between the combs. I thought a pea comb always had three rows, sometimes the middle one larger than the others? I thought if it had one comb then it would be a straight comb? Could you please help me understand what I'm looking for?
