Easter Egger Sexing "tips and tricks" *Pictures Included*

Hi, I have a hen I purchased that looks exactly like that one. no comb or wattles… I mean exactly.. only thing is she has feathers on her grey/blue legs too and while all the other red sex links are happily laying and friendly, she wont let me get NEAR her. What the heck is she?

Do you mean mine above? She is supposed to be an Easter Egger. Though mine has green legs and no feathers on the legs.

I got her, 2 black ones, and 5 actual Red Sex Links from a bucket labeled Red Sex Link Six @ a week old in Feb this year. They all looked pretty much the same. Now I can't figure out what these three are and they aren't laying. The 5 RIR crosses are.

This one looks like a Brahma. I don't recognize the blackish ones. Maybe some type of Buckeye cross? None of the three look to be at point of lay yet. Their faces and combs will get redder and larger and their wattles will grow more before they are ready. Both of these breeds have pea combs, but neither carry the blue egg gene, so you will probably get brown eggs from these girls. They are lovely birds, but I don't think they are EEs at all (no green legs, beards or muffs).
