Okay pictures!! Chickies awesome brooder setup!! Help me determine: Pullet or Roo? Introducing Hedwig! Hedwig again, she is solid white, any darker spots on her are poop (hopefully not) or mud, most likely mud. Hmm.. will this screen hold my weight? Ain't my tail pretty? Helloooo A combtastic view! Spurs Hello there cat! (I told you all Sweetie was afraid of chickens...) Pullet or Roo? (Sorry for bad pics, she is very skittish.. and fast! May looking for her friends! May's head, sorry I can't get a comb shot on her. and the cat really is scared chickens!! Thanks for your help!
They both look like pullets to me! That feather pattern on the Brown and white one is def that of a pullet. The white ones comb is looking like a pullets comb. At this age a roo would usually have a bright pink/red comb by now...

I posted last week about my EE chicks, thought I'd post pics again this week for your guys' input as they have changed quite a bit! They are a couple days shy of 7 weeks. I am now concerned I have two roos.

This is Claudia or maybe Winston. She looks to have a mish mash of patterning. And her tail feathers appear to be more roo like. So far, this chick has no roo like behaviors.

Another view of her

Her peacomb has three distinct rows of peas

another view of her comb

Another top view.

Here is Lilly/Willy. (S)he has started chest bumping other chicks now.
.

Best picture I could get.

Best close up I could get of the comb. I'm pretty convinced this is a cockeral, what do you think?

Julia

Big sweet Gertrude, poor girl is not feathering out gracefully ha!

You are correct. Your white chick is def a roo.your others look like pullets. But I would watch Claudia/Winston. As he/she could be a roo with that comb. Some take longer than others to show their roo features... Especially if there is another roo already making itself known. Such as the white one

It's possible. Not familiar with Wilco. I only have buchheits and orschlens around me. You can always contact the farm store u got them from and ask what hatchery they order from... For example I know buchheits orders from Ideal Poultry. That way u can figure out what hatchery they are from and find out if they sell bantam ee. From the pics they don't look too small. But then again those are pics. And ya can't really tell size from pics. Maybe if u get a pic of them next to ur other chicks of the same age.. ?

I posted pictures!
Good pictures too! Hedwig looks like a pullet and May is a pullet also. The one I'm not sure about is the cat!

Since May and Hedwig are fully feathered, they don't need the heat source unless it's really cold.
